STNA GENERAL MANAGER
Are you a sports administration professional? Do you have experience in managing community infrastructure, or experience in business or program management with a passion for sport?
The Southern Tasmanian Netball Association is responsible for managing the largest multi-sport facility in Hobart, and every year we welcome over 250,000 people through our doors at the Hobart Netball & Sports Centre.
Netball is our passion and priority, and we also work closely with a range of other organisations to provide access to a diverse range of sport, active recreation and community activities in southern Tasmania.
The Association has undergone an exciting period of improvement and development, and with more to be done, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to continue leading us through this next phase of growth.
The role of General Manager is a key leadership role responsible for representing the Association that will suit a highly organised and self-motivated professional who is comfortable working in a busy environment that requires excellent prioritisation and time-management skills. It is a role for someone who can balance being a hands-on manager comfortable with rolling up their sleeves to move netball goal posts, to being the strategic thinker and problem solver taking carriage of the key decisions influencing the success of the Association.
The role requires someone with excellent interpersonal skills who can inspire a small but highly engaged professional team and work alongside a large cohort of extraordinary volunteers. A positive and curious attitude and critical thinking skills are a must, particularly as we continue to expand the footprint of the Association with the construction of two additional outdoor courts and through our collaborative work with the City of Hobart to progress the New Town Sports Precinct Master Plan.
