CURRENT OPENINGS
STNA DIRECTOR POSITION
The Southern Tasmanian Netball Association (STNA) is currently seeking nominations to fill a casual vacancy on the Board.
In accordance with the Association’s constitution, to be eligible for election to the Board of Management individuals must be over the age of 18 and not be a current director on the board of one of the Association’s Netball Club Member organisations.
Expressions of interest from individuals with experience in the legal sector, marketing / sponsorship or construction /building management are welcomed. However, the Board welcomes interest from any individual with professional or volunteer experience that may be relevant to the responsibilities of the Board. The role of Secretary is an important member of the STNA Board (N.B: the collation and distribution of Board papers, and minute taking is provided by the Association staff, and not a requirement of this role).
Not-for-profit governance experience is not essential, and the STNA will consider applications from individuals who have no prior Board experience.
The STNA is committed to increasing the diversity of its Board and welcomes expressions of interest from individuals who may identify as culturally or linguistically diverse or as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Expressions of interest are also encouraged from male applicants to contribute towards a stronger gender balance on the Board.
Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month (excluding January) and generally last up to two hours (and can be accessed remotely). Board Directors may also be asked to participate in Board discussions out-of-session as required.
