At STNA we have a large number of competitions and programs running throughout the year. These competitions/ programs cater for beginners through to more experienced, competitive players – we have something for everyone!
Junior Netball
Our junior programs consist of; NetSetGo, Primary School Roster, High School Roster & Spring Juniors – for something more competitive we have our Winter Roster, STiNgAs and Representative teams.
NetSetGo:
Suncorp NetSetGO is Australia’s official starter program for girls and boys aged 5 to 10. It’s a chance to learn the netball basics, get outside and make some friends.
The clubs offering the NetSetGo program are; AYC, Palena, OHA, Karana and Kilburn. Programs are normally run around October each year.
Primary School Roster:
The Primary School Roster is a roster for all primary schools in Hobart and the surrounding suburbs. This roster is for girls and boys in grades 3/4 and 5/6, this roster is run in Term 1 & 4.
It is a great roster for beginners, as it provides the skills and fundamental understanding of the game.
High School Roster:
The High School Roster is a roster for all high schools in Hobart and the surrounding suburbs. This roster is for girls in year 7,8,9 &10, and is ran in term 2&3.
This roster is great for new and existing players as there are often more than one division in each grade.
Spring Juniors:
Spring juniors is a non-competitive fun roster run in term 4. This roster is for girls and eligible boys in under 11s, 13s, 15s, & 17s.
This is a great roster for new and existing players as it is a non-competitive environment.
Winter Roster:
Our winter roster is our main roster each year, it consists of 20 rounds (not including finals) and runs from March through until September.
The winter roster is a club-based, competitive competition however there is an age and division suitable for everyone. Most teams train weekly for this roster and trials commence from October – December for the following years roster.
Senior Rosters
At STNA we have a range of competitions for adults including; Housewives, Wednesday Women’s, Mixed Netball and the Winter Roster.
Housewives:
Housewives is a social roster played on Tuesday mornings. This roster runs from February through until December, for more information please contact Maureen at – maureendabate@hotmail.com
Wednesday Women’s:
Wednesday Women’s is a fun roster played in the Spring on Wednesday afternoons, all players must be 15+.
Mixed Netball:
Mixed Netball is a mixed competition played on Thursday afternoons, we run a Autumn and a Sping mixed competition, all players must be 15+.
Winter Roster:
Our winter roster is our main roster each year, it consists of 20 rounds (not including finals) and runs from March through until September.
The winter roster is a club-based, competitive competition however there is an age and division suitable for everyone. Most teams train weekly for this roster and trials commence from October – December for the following years roster.
